From Relationship to Mentoring

Last week after Carl Tuttle spoke, Jesus ministered to me. He showed me a picture of myself when I was a 10 year old boy. He reminded me of a song I wrote back then. The memory was a reminder of who I am. I am not a macho guy but a sensitive, tender man. That is what God wants me to be.

So the next day at work, I really wanted to share this story of God ministering to me with someone at work. I met with one guy. No, he is not really safe to share with. I met with another friend. No, not him either.

Then I saw a man on the shop floor working at a press. I said, "Yeah, he is a good guy." I went over and shared with him. I shared about how cool John Wimber was, how he was a just a fat man going to heaven and not some superstar, just a clown on the bus.

I shared about my story of how God spoke to me and affirmed my deepest desire. Then I looked at my friend and said, 'You know what this means. It means God not only loves you, but loves everything about you." This was one of Carl Tuttle's main points. As I said this, my friends began to tear up. "Man, that is cool, dude." He said.

So pray for us. I want to begin a 1x1 bible reading program with this man.

God is good.
