Rysiek Riedel is a musician in a Polish band, Dem. In early 2004, the band's lead singer Jurek is preparing for his return to Poland after being held in a Soviet prison for 4 years, and demands that a band made up of his old gang mates accompany him to transport him away from Russian border control. At Rysiek "Rysiek" Riedel's apartment, Jurek and his friends (Pelek, Andrzej, Lena and Sława) decide that Rysiek should accompany them and play a farewell concert for him as a sign of his friendship and collaboration. Rysiek agrees, but he has had a long-running addictions to heroin, and is now found in a deep withdrawal and no plan of return to the band's lives. Jurek tries to persuade him to recover, and Rysiek agrees to work with him. After covering some favorite songs, including one of Rysiek's own songs, the band sings a song written by Rysiek, Suzy begun, a song about longing for a loved one and friendship.
